About us and probably more then you wanted to know.
How we met:
The year was 2003 and Kyle had just received orders to Nebraska. Well not knowing much about the state he went online to hopefully find someone that could answer his questions. After looking on the typical sources he found Mark from NE on a program called ICUII. Several weeks passed and we started talking more then just online, there we e-mails and rarely a phone call. It wasn’t until Kyle went to 7-level school that things began to pick up. We started talking more frequently and Mark was introduced to some of Kyle’s friends. Well not face to face but via a webcam.
When Kyle returned to Italy is was hard to not want to call each other everyday, international rates suck. Anyway, as Kyle’s time in Italy was reaching a close we decided that when Kyle got to Florida that Mark would fly from Broadwater to meet him.
So the time came for us to meet face to face and it was a very exciting day. Kyle had not gotten the vehicle he custom ordered yet so he borrowed his sister’s car to go pick Mark up in. It wasn’t a fancy car it was a well driven car.We stayed in FL until about the 28th of June then we headed off to move to Omaha.
The drive up took us 3 days because we had my cat Bubbles with us. We stopped in Nashville and then in Kansas City. The next day we arrived at our first place together. After signing the rent papers we moved into the apartment, well with as much stuff as you could cram into a Ford Focus.
So anyway, there we were waiting on all my furniture and stuff to arrived from Italy. It was about 2 months before we had everything and let me tell you the air matress was getting old. We stayed in that apartment for the remainder of my time in the Air Force, we decided that if we were going to stay in Nebraska that we would move closer to base because I was hoping to get a job on base.
And well I did! So here we are living in our new place together just a few months after I had gotten out of the military. And one thing is for sure I was not happy being who I was in the AF and having to wear that uniform. I am a patriot to my country but once I knew that my actions were not in compliance with the rules so I made my graceful exit.
