Well this weekend was pretty crazy for us at the house. We had a lot going on and not a lot of time to get it all done. Saturday was a rest day and I was going to do the WOD for Sunday but with a bunch of stuff still needing to be done I had to prioritize.

I did get a good workout on Monday at BU CrossFit. I stopped in to talk to Mike about working on my lifts but instead got a overall look at my capabilities. I found out I was half assing my squats, which means my lifts were suffering as well. He also had me do some work on the GHD machine, my new favorite exercise. I can really feel it today.

Overall, I am hoping to have time to do Mondays WOD this evening to atleast get some catch up in.

  • I want to be more physically fit then I have ever been before.

I figure those are some good goals. I know people say to be specific but at this point just having a general direction is good enough for me. When it is all said and done i want to look like this guy, well with my hair color. Read the rest of this entry »

I am listening to the latest podcast from CrossFit Radio, thanks Neil for making it happen. Anyway, I was waiting to hear this when I saw it listed as upcoming.

I was amazed to hear that Ricky from CrossFit Omaha placed 6th in the 2008 CrossFit Games. Good job, it gave me hope about the local affiliate. Maybe, I’ll go back and give them a second chance to make a good impression.

I had a questionable experience when I stopped in to find out some information. The guy that was there didn’t make me feel comfortable in his level of knowledge. I was kinda turned off by his demeanor, I later found out he has a Level 1 Cert. Wow, I was totally fooled that he was just some guy sitting at a desk answering phones. Read the rest of this entry »
