Well we are all moved in and just unpacking at this point. I am glad to be closer to civilization and work. I initially had mixed feelings about being closer to base and being a big homo, but who cares. Everyone in my office is a civilian and if they can’t deal with it oh well.

So as of the first of June I started the Zone and started doing Crossfit main site WoDs again. I was feeling good about it until yesterday. I was using Nicole’s article of getting off the crack and weighting and measuring for two weeks. The only meal that wasn’t 100% zone was dinner. It was the meal Mark and I were sharing and I didn’t want to push the zone on him.

My breakfasts were 2 scrambled eggs, 1 cup grapes, 1 8oz glass of milk, EVOO to cook the eggs in and some nuts. Lunch was a big salad with either 3oz of dressing or 2oz dressing and some nuts with 3 oz protein. My first snack was 2 cheese sticks, 1 cup grapes and some nuts. Dinner was whatever and my last snack was 16oz milk and some cashews.

So if you were keeping count my Zone Rx was 13 blocks. I was scaling the workouts to allow my body to readjust to CrossFit again.

Well yesterday it all hit the fan. After my lunch I started feeling odd. I wasn’t sure what was going on I was having hot flashes. Which seemed worse then they were when you work in a 70 degree temperature control environment. I got a headache, my body started cramping bad and I was starting to feel dizzy.

I was worried my blood sugar was to low, but it was 98mg/dl two hours after eating. Which is normal but I was expecting about 110mg/dl.

I struggled through the rest of the day and came home. I walked in the door and straight upstairs to get under some blankets. Mark came home about 5.30 and woke me up. I told him how I felt and he said my body is probably in shock from depriving it of what I had been eating. So we went to McDonald’s to get some dinner.

I ordered 2 hamburgers, a medium fry, and a medium coke. I took a sip of my coke when I got it and it was way to sweet for me. We got home and I ate one of the burgers and maybe a handful of fries without ketchup. Drank almost all of my pop due to feeling really thirsty and needing to wash down the burger and fries.

About 1 hour later my headache was going away and I was starting to feel better. So I ate my other burger. I went to bed with the headache and some body aches but mainly from my hips down my legs.

So what am I saying? I don’t know but everyone has a different reactions to changes in diet and daily routines. According to recommended reading from the CrossFit team, aka Mastering the Zone. Being A+ makes me the least susceptible blood type for having issues with processed carbs. So I am going to drop the zone and still keep doing CrossFit. I wish there was a way for me to find a happy medium, but I just don’t care right now.

I took my temp this morning and it was 100.0 on the nose. I am going to wait until I have gotten better before I begin to experiment with trying to find a balance.

Well today I did my first WOD as Rx’d. It was the Row, Burpees, Run. I finished every last action and I was dead after. I feel great now, I wasn’t going for time really. I mean I wanted to be done in under 1 hour but I was more concerned with not passing out or vomitting.

My time at the end was 39:29. I am happy with that time really. It is less then 1 hour and I was able to complete each round to the best of my abilities. FYI I hate burpees. So now I have too post my info on BTWB..

Well I really like this site. Especially since I can access it at home and work, it makes keeping track of my meals easier. So I am not logging my WOD here anymore. They are all being recorded on BTWB.com but I am putting a link to them in my CrossFit links.
