Ok well I am on leave from this past Thursday until next Tuesday. So I was trying to get myself to BVU so I can get my CrossFit in during my time off. After the first day it wasn’t going to be easy. We only have one vehicle and Mark is using it to goto work.

So I am home all day taking care of the house wihtout a way to get to a gym to workout. So I thought about the one exercise I can do that works my full body and I don’t need any equipment for.

I decided that I will do 100 burpees everyday for my WOD while I am on vacation. The cats think I am crazy but to me it’s a good exercise. I start my timer just like for any WOD and stop it once I hit 100.

After two days of these I wish I had picked a lower number. lol

Well due to some unforeseen events yesterday I wasn’t able to get to sleep at my RX’d time. I slept alot later then normal and my whole evening was shot. So I didn’t have time to prepare my food for work tonight so I stopped by BK and picked up food.

I was hoping it would be Zone Approximate and I was right. I got the TenderGrill Chicken Salad with Fat-Free Ranch. I figured it was a lot healthier then getting a burger and removing a bun and what not. I also ate the garlic parmesan croutons.

Totals - Calories: 340, Fat: 9g, Carbs: 28 and Protein: 31g
Zone blocked [16 RX'd blocks/day] : Protein: 4.5, Carbs: 3.1 and Fat: 6

I added 1 more block of fat (3 almonds) to give me 3x fat for being 1 block short on carbs. i don’t know where I got that conversion from but I remembering reading it somewhere.

Well for those of you that don’t read the CrossFit forums. I have been wondering if I need to become more strict on my blocks. Well that answer has been a resounding EAT MORE. Not so much a cut out this or that but just eat more blocks and you will see the results. Ok, I got that.

Some people on there have been telling me to stop eating/drinking my strawberry yogurt smoothie. I want to clarify, I make this everytime I have one. It’s not prepackaged or sold buy a gimicky company with bright colors. I literaly put 1/2 cup of plain low-fat yogurt into my cup, add 4 frozen strawberrys or other fruit  and voila!. No added sugar, flavors or colors.

Sometimes it is sweet, sometimes tart. I guess it depends on the combo of strawberrys I put into the mix. I think it is a healthy snack to have and it gives me comfort instead of reaching for a pint of B&J’s AmeriCone Dream. I think they were misunderstanding what it was. Maybe thinking it was a prepackaged dietary nightmare.
